Bio
Calvin Glisson is a PhD student and Graduate Student Researcher in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of California, Riverside. His research lies at the intersection of computational imaging, computer vision, and machine learning.
Before returning to UCR for his doctorate, Calvin studied at California State University, San Bernardino, where he worked as a research assistant and instructional student assistant. He holds a B.S. in Physics from UC Riverside.
His work focuses on developing novel frequency domain methods for autonomous driving perception, including data augmentation techniques that improve bird's-eye-view map segmentation from camera-only systems. His HSDA method set a new benchmark for camera-based BEV segmentation at WACV 2025.
